Tempest on Tithebarn

Tempest on Tithebarn is a bar, café and events venue on Tithebarn Street, near the business district. It has traded for five years.

The venue is leaving the site. Capital&Centric, which owns the building, told the Liverpool Echo that its tenant had served three months' notice and would not renew the lease. A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that our tenant has served three months' notice and will not be renewing their lease." The operator, Ma Pub Group, declined to comment when approached by the paper.

No final trading day has been announced, and the venue was still taking bookings when we checked on 27 August 2026. This is an announced closure rather than one we can confirm has happened, so check directly before assuming it has shut.
