Getting around: trains and buses
Aigburth railway station is on the Merseyrail Northern Line. Trains run every 20 minutes to Liverpool Central, with a journey time of about 8 minutes. The station also connects to Hunts Cross and Southport.
Bus routes serving Aigburth include the 82, 82A, 60, 600 and 800. The 82 runs from Aigburth Station to Liverpool One Bus Station in about 30 minutes. Arriva UK runs from Elliot Street to Aigburth Station every 15 minutes.

Lark Lane
Lark Lane is a street in south Liverpool, known for its Victorian-era architecture and independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The street runs beside Sefton Park.
Long-standing businesses include Keith's Wine Bar, which opened in 1976 and is still trading, and Maranto's, an Italian-American restaurant with a balcony bar. Gran Caffe's Lark Lane venue opened in 2024, serving Italian coffee, pastries and gelato. Other regulars include Press Bros. Coffee (which roasts its own beans), The Third Café (vegetarian and vegan), Petit Café (live jazz Thursday to Sunday), and independent shops Larks, GASP Vintage and Remains to be Seen.
For food, Elif serves Turkish BBQ, Hafla Hafla serves Middle Eastern small plates, Yum Cha serves dim sum, Taj serves Indian food, La Parrilla serves Mexican food, and Polidor 68 is a small, candle-lit restaurant.

Sefton Park
Sefton Park is a 235-acre public park in south Liverpool. It opened on 20 May 1872. The park has two Grade II listed grottoes, a drinking fountain and a statue of William Rathbone V. It has walking paths, open grassland, a lake and a café.

Otterspool Park and Promenade
Otterspool Park runs from Aigburth Road to the River Mersey, with a connection to Sefton Park. The park contains football pitches, adventure golf, children's playgrounds, skateparks and go-karting, plus a bar and restaurant.
Otterspool Promenade runs along the bank of the River Mersey from just north of Grassendale to the site of Herculaneum Dock. The promenade offers views across the Mersey to the Wirral. A footpath and cycleway continues along the riverbank to the city centre.
Liverpool City Council's Waterfront Strategy proposes reopening Otter's Pool as a tidal inlet, with improvements to the Merseyfront Walkway including tree planting and segregated pedestrian and cycle routes. These are proposals only. No funding has been confirmed and no timetable has been published.
Sudley House
Sudley House is a historic house on Mossley Hill Road in Aigburth. It was built in the early 1800s for Liverpool Mayor Nicholas Robinson. Victorian ship owner and merchant George Holt purchased the house in 1883 and installed his collection of English landscapes, genre pieces, prints and Chinese porcelain. Holt died in 1896, and his daughter Emma continued to live at Sudley House until her death in 1944. The house and collection were bequeathed to the city.
Sudley House is now a museum managed by National Museums Liverpool. It displays the only Victorian merchant's art collection still in its original setting.
